A Trip to the Fire Station

The kids were feeling much better. Yesterday, Jackson, Beau and Tucker met us for a tour of our new fire station. We had some great fire fighters show us the "ropes". We got to play around on the fire trucks, see how some of the equipment worked, where fire fighters sleep and eat. We even got to wash the fire truck (it had just come back from a call).

Thank you to all the fire fighters who daily put their lives on the line to keep us safe. We pray that God will watch over our fire fighters and keep them safe.

That looks like so much fun! Can anybody just go there any time, or did you make an appointment? I'm sure my kids would love it too...

I am pretty sure anyone can go. We called in the morning and asked if it was ok if we came for a tour and they said yes. We went to the old fire station this summer for Carsten's birthday - the new one was much better in the what they showed us and let us do.
